  • Principles Of Operation: The gas vapors are aspirated through the exhaust system into a flask containing water to the vapors. In the next flask the remaining vapors are neutralized by an alkali solution. The exhaust air is usually routed to a sink in fume hood.
    Aspirating water through the system easily cleans the pump.

  • Any Tecator exhaust manifold covering all digestors from the Digestor 2006 to 2040 can be connected to the Scrubber unit. The system design makes the unit independent of external water supply and produces no wastewater contamination.
  • Vapors generated from the acid digestion are aspirated through the exhaust manifold by the built-in air pump. The vapors are cooled in one bottle and finally neutralized in a second bottle. The exhaust air is vented into a fume hood sink. The system allows up to 100 Kjeldahl digestions without replacing the scrubbing reagents. An indicator can be added to easily see when replacement reagent is needed.
